Wednesday, May 8, 2019, we celebrated National School Nurse Day. The Missouri Association of School Nurses wishes to recognize each school nurse for their dedication and contributions to student health.
In Missouri, the Honorable Governor Michael Parsons issued a special Proclamation, proclaiming that May 8, 2019 is School Nurse Day in Missouri, and celebrate and acknowledge the accomplishment of school nurses everywhere and their efforts to meet the needs of today’s students by improving the delivery of healthcare in our schools.
The Missouri Association of School Nurses (MASN) encourages each school nurse to share the Proclamation with their Administrators and print a copy to hang in your office. MASN also wishes to thank every Missouri School Nurse for the work you do every day as you advocate for children’s health and safety, managed chronic health conditions, train staff and para professionals, provide resources to parents, and reach out to your community partners to strengthen healthcare for our Missouri children.
